Wikipedia

Proprietary Encyclopaedias and Wikipedia are the most common "knowledge advisors". If I need to choose  from two, i would like to choose to use Wikipedia.

First of all, Wikipedia is free of charge. We need not pay for service charge, not annual fee for the company. We need not to be the members of Wikipedia, still we can enjoy using the services provided by Wikipedia, which other proprietary encyclopaedias cannot serve you without collecting charges.

Many people worry about the accuracy of the information that is given by Wikipedia. people are afraid of getting wrong information from free open source as they don't employ professionals to do the editing work. Indeed, Wikipedia doesn't employ any professionals to take up this job. All the information is given by its members in voluntary base. We don't know their education background. However, we need not worry about that as it has also a group of volunteers who do the check up work and vote if the information has problems.Besides, there are lists of rules that the Wikipedia's editors  need to follow before publishing any articles in the web. Furthermore, the editors also put reference links in their essays to support their points. So there is no way to worry about the accuracy of the information in Wikipedia.

Wikipedia can provide a more neutral idea or information. Why i say so? It's because the whole community can do the checkup and response work. The proprietary encyclopaedias are edited by few group of people who are professionals, however, Wikipedia's information is written by all people and is checked and edited by others if they find any mistakes or untruth in the passages from anywhere of the world.

Last but not least, Wikipedia has more languages to choose than propritary enclopaedias. More 40 languages can be chosen to read as the editors are worldwide, while for the proprietary enclopaedias, as they need to pay for profeesional to write the texts, as a result, less people can use the information in their own language and waste time to do the translation.

As Wikipedia is free, neutral and worldwide to choose, I would like to use Wikipedia.
